The Cockpit’s Take-Off
Images of the week from the construction of the motion platform and the installation of the cockpit and the visual system:

First Landing in the Fliegerwerkstatt
Günter Hujer has pilotet the first airplane into our halls! The Fokker triplane machine of the Museum of Technology will be reworked for the Museum Motorenfabrik Oberursel and brought to its original state. With our young people, Günter Hujer will rebuild, for example, the engine from wood, paint the aircraft in the original colors and restore it to the fullest extent.
SimProject: Perparing of the next milestone
The planning and preparation phase for the construction of our flight simulator has been completed and the young people have successfully mastered the first steps in adapting the original cockpit to its new destination. Patently, we had to wait for the delivery times of the parts required for the next building sections.

Over the past few months, our young people have diligently worked out their basic craftsmanship. In metal and wood processing. A very important training module was our soldering courses. Because, in order to build the control of a simulator, a lot of cables and connections between the avionics and the computers are needed.
Hasan at the Internship at Trainico
As the first of his group Hasan completed successfully a two-week internship at trainico aviation academy, the company for training and education in the aviation industry.
At the ‘open day’ of trainico, Hasan had the task to lead other school classes through the company.
The Fliegerwerkstatt was also a guest at the ‘Open Day’. Ralf Kendzia has taken a lot of time to show our young people everything and answer many questions.
Many thanks to the Rolls-Royce Women’s Network!
Visit of the former Federal Minister of Transport
With Mr. Prof. Kurt Bodewig, the Fliegerwerkstatt won a proponent, who is active in all directions in order to support us in our work for young people. Accompanied by Mr Cheung of the Deutschlandfunk, he personally got an impression of our work locally.
In his opinion “prevention is best realized with the Fliegerwerkstatt! To give children and young people with a difficult school career knowledge, practice skills and newfound assertiveness through interesting topics from aviation, is the better alternative to the remedial youth welfare.”
Team LOTIS wins the Trophy
Seven teams played in the indoor soccer tournament for the challenge cup of the ‘Fliegerwerkstatt’. At the end, the team of LOTIS school prevailed. Two players from the team were sick, the condition of Ali, Umut and Yaser without subs was especially in demand!
Congratulations to the winners Ali, Umut and Yaser!
Our team of the ‘Fliegerwerkstatt’ has become the proud runner-up: Saif, Lassana, Shamel, Ferhad, Yousef and Hadi (front).
Evening of Aviation
At this year’s ‘Abend der Luftfahrt’ (BDL), we were able to present ourselves in addition to companies of various airlines, airports and air navigation services, and to promote support.
With Prof. Kurt Bodewig, the former Federal Minister of Transport, we have found a very special advocate for our projects in the aviation workshop.
We were especially pleased to meet the guest of honor, Gail Halvorsen. He was an American pilot during the Berlin Airlift and had the idea of dropping – apart from the supply packages – boxes of candy attached to small parachutes for the children.
