Lotto Foundation supports our Simulator Project

For the first time since the opening of the Fliegerwerkstatt we received approval for funding: the Berlin Lotto Foundation supports us in our project to build an airworthy Simulator with motion platform with our participants. The centerpiece is our original Boeing-737 cockpit.

Support for the Project of the Classmates

Our group of the Alfred-Nobel-School was able to prove their technical skills once more. While her classmates  created a documentary about the Walter-Gropius-Bau, the idea of a walk-in communication box was born in which three i-pads should be installed.

Our Visit at TRAINICO

Since January, we are in close contact with TRAINICO, a company that provides specifically for the aviation sector retraining, education and training. During a visit to the training workshop in Wildau our group of Ferdinand-Freiligrath-school about the various possibilities of a career entry could inform.

We are delighted with the offer of TRAINICO to offer our subscribers even a student internship.

Aviation experts in our immediate vicinity

A few hundred meters from the Fliegerwerkstatt there is an exciting project that our youth may follow: the former aircraft engineers and pilots around Hagen Goerz restore as volunteers a whole aircraft for the technical museum. The Ilyushin II – 14 is repaired piece by piece since 2006. Mutual visits have become a matter of course, and the commitment of our neighbors for the young people is remarkable.

Visitors from television

Of course, we are happy when the television comes round to report about the Fliegerwerkstatt. Not all youths dared to be on camera. That’s o.k.! In the end, the remaining volunteers helped to make an authentic report.
