Graffiti

The intention of our graffiti workshop is to achieve a common goal by creating a big picture together. Besides, the students learn how to deal with paints and varnishes, to apply different spraying techniques and to observe working safety regulations. With the support of our volunteer Jerome Gillen the eight students of the Alfred-Nobel-School created a logo for the Fliegerwerkstatt.

Three co-operations with Berlin schools

In the new school year 2015/2016 the Fliegerwerkstatt starts in two co-operations with Berlin secondary schools. Within the arena of product design the classes of 12 students of the Ferdinand-Freiligrath-School in Kreuzberg takes place once a week in our halls in Tempelhof. They become familiar with tools and equipment, learn to deal with different materials and produce their first products according to the blueprints.

The practice class of Alfred Nobel School in Neukölln comes three times a week. The focus for the 9th and 10th-graders is apart from technical workshops, how to prepare them for their career entry. Resume Writing, Job Training and Internship search paid off: In the meantime,  5 students could be placed in internships.

The third co-operation is launched in November: 10 students of the senior high school LOTIS from Tempelhof deepen their craftsmanship and technical abilities to find out in which professional direction they want to go in their future.

Course – the sprung floor is finished

Since four weeks the first students of Alfred-Nobel-School join us once a week at the Fliegerwerkstatt. They build up the workbenches and they helped to shape the setup of our course.

Rolls-Royce’s apprentices help our young people

The joy at the three workbenches from the training workshop of Rolls-Royce Germany was huge! When they arrived in late May in parts, it was clear that the building would be a great challenge for our young people. Therefore we gladly accepted the offer of the apprentices from Rolls-Royce to help our youth to reassemble. On time our “helper” arrived and impressed us all with their expertise and professional approach.

That’s how 17 young people worked together for two days, and all of them were proud of their common result.
