Co-operation between schools and Fliegerwerkstatt

Two schools are our partners for the school year 2015/2016: the Ferdinand-Freiligrath-School in Kreuzberg and the Alfred-Nobel-School in Neukölln. Students of the 7th to the 10th Class of Ferdinand-Freiligrath-School are divided into inter-year groups by different interests. The so-called ‘Arena Product Design’ will relocate their lessons once a week in the Fliegerwerkstatt. Here we can provide pre-employment basis in various projects. The ‘practice class’ of the Alfred-Nobel-School is made up of students of the 9th and 10th grade. They work three times a week with different tools and materials and get insights into different occupations which helps them for their professional orientation.

The kitchen is finished

For the construction of our wood kitchen we urgently needed a jigsaw – and we were lucky because Mr. Zender by the company Mafell could help us immediately! He took us past a precision jigsaw, so our intern Phillipp could work very professionally. The new kitchen block offers plenty of room for future cooking events!

Since the beginning of the year we have two interns.

While Steven (17) has joined us for a short time, Phillipp (16) is now two months part of the Fliegerwerkstatt and barely indispensable. Whether build the sound enclosure, the installation of a ventilation for our office or the construction of our new kitchen: Phillipp is sent and fun in the matter! In parallel, he is preparing for his new training section after the summer holidays.
