Refugee Shelters become Event Pavilions

For the Summer Festival at Tempelhof Airport on September 1, the young people of the Fliegerwerkstatt are building 12 exhibition pavilions. The materials used come rom the emergency shelter for refugees of the Berlin City Mission in Mertensstraße in Berlin Spandau. At times 1000 refugees were accommodated in 370 cabins. After the closure of the accommodation, the Fliegerwerkstatt saved 24 cabins from disposal and used them to build exhibition pavilions for the Open Day in Tempelhof.

Huge Joy at Rolls-Royce’s New Donation

For four years, Rolls-Royce Germany has been supporting us in many ways. In addition to the personal commitment of many employees, we were once again pleased to receive financial support and a cheque of 10,000 Euros at the ILA Berlin. As part of the “We save – we grow – we give” programme, all Rolls-Royce employees worldwide have made this donation possible through savings – and thereby passing on part of their success to our young people!

SINCERE THANKS

The young people of Roobots e.V. were also present. They develop and program their own robots every Saturday in the Fliegerwerkstatt.

Simulator Training with the Young Pilots

The Young Pilots are young people in pilot training who are trained by Thomas Kärger, an experienced long-distance pilot. We are pleased that in the future they will be teaching our teens how to fly in our 737 Full Flight Simulator!

At an initial meeting, the young people exchanged their expectations in addition to their enthusiasm for flying and planned the course of the simulator training.
